Babe:  “The last time we talked, I told you about puppy ears.  Today, I have more tales (or is that tails) to tell about my babies.  The first one is about watching them grow.  As all parents know, our babies grow up very quickly.  Mine are no exception.  My goodness, they’re all up by ¼ pound already.  Needless to say, that’s a lot of growing for 11 puppies.

You can see how contented they are in this photo of my boy, Clay.  He’s got a full little tummy and he’s all sacked out for his nap.  That’s probably a familiar posture for all new parents!

And today, I want to talk about puppy toes.  Those of you who know the lady know that she has a thing for baby toes.  Apparently, it’s not specific to her species.  She loves MY babies’ toes, too.  She took this photo to give you an idea just how sweet their little feet are.  Tiny little perfect pads and itty bitty toe nails.  You may be able to see that the dew claws have been taken off.  Based on my experience hunting, those of us without dew claws have fewer injuries in the field.

That will have to do for now.  The puppies have all been renumbered and it’s time for me to get them fed and tended to.

I’ll try to find time to write more tomorrow.  Are there any questions you’d like to ask me?”
