Dash (center) with ribbons for NAHRA East Regional pass and two Hunter passes to complete her Hunter title

Dash completed her NAHRA Hunter title on June 8, 2014. She accomplished this in just 2 back to back weekends. She got pass #1 on May 31st, pass #2 on June 1st, pass #3 on June 7th and #4 on June 8th. Completing her title in only 8 days. In addition during the same period she ran the NAHRA East Regional in the Started category and earned that ribbon too!

On June 15th and 16th Dash completed her NAHRA Started Retriever Title requirements

Previous: Dash is developing into a lot of dog. Her personality is very much like her Sire’s. She is 100% GO!!!!ALL OF THE TIME. Even with all of this drive she is steady on the line and very obedient.  She is going to be a blast in the upland field this fall. At 9 months of age she was a solid 65 pounds and is now just over 70 lbs. Dash has also begun her NAHRA Field Test work. She has two passes towards her Started Title and, like her brother Ron, she should complete her title requirements in June before she reaches 1 year old.

PREVIOUS: This puppy is the reason Three Cedars Retrievers exists. Four years ago Mas came to us and reignited my interest in hunting over Labrador Retrievers. Hunting with Mas made me want to help other hunters find a dog like him so we started on the journey to become a breeder. During the process we discovered that Mas is a carrier for EIC (exercise induced collapse). He is not affected by this genetic disease but he does carry half of the gene. Our primary goal for this breeding was to retain an EIC clear female with Mas characteristics  to be the dam for our next generation. Dash was selected for this role on day 10. She was one of two female puppies from her litter that tested as clear for EIC.Dash.Gitmo.1.7.13Dash has begun her training to join the 3CR Team as part of our guide service. Currently she is in the conditioned retrieve phase of her training. Dash is a delight to work with. Like her brother Ron, as soon as we head to the training table she races ahead to get on the table and get to work.

At 54.6 pounds at 6 months we expect Dash to finish a bit larger than her Mom, Babe. Her build is tall and lean like Mas so we have high hopes that she is going to be the blend of her two parents that we hoped for.

We will be watching for Dash to mature into a confident hunter and companion and when age permits we will begin the testing process to see if she will become one of our dams.
