Three Cedars Retrievers Reservation Policy and Procedure
Our puppies have been selectively bred to grow into high energy WORKING dogs. With this in mind we will sell our puppies only to homes with a plan to put their dog to work. Whether your plan for your puppy is waterfowl or upland hunting, field trials or hunt tests, dock diving or agility trials, maybe even all of these, spending time DAILY with your puppy teaching him or her their job will make him or her a much better companion when not working. Remember if you don’t give your dog a job he or she will work at a job of their own choosing and you probably won’t like their choice.
Pricing for each puppy with full AKC Registration will be $1800.00. Additional fees for services such as training and boarding may apply and are discussed elsewhere on this website. All prospective owners must have completed our application (click here to complete the application). To reserve your puppy we require a non-refundable deposit of $350. The deposit is transferable to a future litter if we are unable to match your color/sex choice from our current breeding. Please make sure you have read and agree with the terms of our guarantee (click here to view our guarantee) before submitting your deposit.
If you are directly purchasing your puppy your deposit and final payment may be accomplished in several different ways. If you are selecting one of our training plans please see the appropriate plan for the financial details.
1.We will accept a personal check for the deposit. Your picking order will be established when the check clears our bank. You may use a personal check for your final payment only if it is received by us one week before we ship or you pick up your puppy.
2. You may use a cashiers check for any payment.
3. We DO NOT currently accept PayPal, credit cards or wire transfers.
Puppy selection will begin at six to seven weeks of age in the order deposits are received. We will provide copious photos, other documents and our observations of each of the puppies on our website and Facebook pages during their time with us. You may email us at 3cedarsretrievers@gmail at any time with question regarding a specific puppy or the litter in general. Puppies must be picked up immediately after their eighth week unless the puppy is entering one of our training levels or other arrangements have been made.
If your puppy is going to travel a long distance to get to you let’s discuss the best option for transfer. My work schedule is very flexible so I will normally be willing to deliver a puppy within 500 miles of our location. If beyond that range we can discuss air transport or other options. Delivery costs including any required health certificates, insurance or travel expenses are the sole responsibility of the new owner whatever option is used.
If you desire to visit our kennel to inspect and choose your puppy we will try to accommodate your travel schedule.
In addition to the documentation detailed in our guarantee you will receive a Bill Of Sale for your puppy, a set of PREPAID registration papers for AKC registration, a copy of the Sire’s and Dam’s pedigrees including their non-AKC titles, a copy of both the Sires and Dams OFA, CERF, EIC, CHIC and CNM reports and a puppy starter kit including a sample of the Purina Pro Plan puppy food that we use exclusively.
We request that you consider using the 3 Cedars kennel name in your dogs registered name.
