Jack: I can finally confirm that one of our male puppies will be going to the Penn Vet Working Dog Center (http://pennvetwdc.org/) at the University Of Pennsylvania. Our puppy will be one of the first eight puppies entered into their foundation training program for Detection/Search & Resuce dogs. He will spend approximately one year with a foster family getting socialized while spending his workdays at the Grey’s Ferry Training Center learning the foundations of his future job. He will also be evaluated to determine the best path for his future training. We are very excited to have a puppy from our very first litter selected for this program. They are looking for dogs with strong work ethics and if our pup is anything like his parents he will show them a new level of hard work. I will post more on this topic as we hammer out the final details.

Thank you to Jess Nord for finding Three Cedars Retrievers and doing such a great job of explaining the program and answering all of my many questions!

We look forward to participating with PennVet WDC on this exciting project.
